His screenplay "Conflict," won the East Repertory Playhouse's "Page to Stage" playwriting competition. He has worked with a variety of regional theaters, including Yorba Linda Civic Light Opera's youth theater, with whom he wrote seven shows between 1992 and 2000. Since 2009, he has served as a board member for the Canyon Theatre Guild in Santa Clarita, California. He currently teaches literature and composition courses at Moorpark College. His first children's book, "Why Do I Have to Make My Bed?" was published by Tricycle Press / Random House in 2011.
