Ever since they visited their first comic book convention, my daughters have been following in the footsteps of their geeky father. And I couldn't be more proud. One of the presents they recently requested for their birthday was the DVD of The Avengers. My eldest daughter is smitten by Iron Man, and my youngest one loves to pretend she is Hawkeye. And, not surprisingly, they both love pretending to be superheroes, all the while using their karate skills to beat up on ol' Dad.
Of course, rather than being beaten up like the pretend villain I usually am, I would rather play a less violent (but no less fun) theater game called: Super Hero Improv. Since superheroes are capable of doing the impossible, it's great fun to bring their action-packed antics to the stage. No fancy sets or costumes are required. With the power of pantomime, anything can happen! Check out these comic-book themed improvisation activities.
