Last week I began a countdown, a list of my favorite jukebox musicals -- you know, those catchy, popular shows that incorporate pre-existing songs. Well, this week, I round off the list with my top five picks. Of course, it could be argued that I'm not the man for this job. I prefer good-old fashioned musicals (ala Rogers and Hammerstein) in which a composer creates original songs to complement the story. And you'll notice if you read my newly updated top-five list, as I place a second-place crown on a certain musical based on pop songs from a Swedish super band, I do so with reservation. Is this show too cheesy to deserve a spot on a top ten list? Maybe so. However, if it easy difficult to argue that these shows are ART, it is easy to prove that at the very least these shows are FUN.
Not to mention, the jukebox musical that earned the number one spot on my list also ranks as the number one movie musical of all time, according to the American Film Institute. So, find out who landed in the top five, and share your own opinion about "jukebox musicals."

Although, who can deny an R&H Musical. But Jukebox best – has to be Jersey Boys – great songs, good story!
Yep, Jersey Boys has lots of great tunes. And I like the format of the musical too — good story telling structure!
