Who Should Win Best Musical Revival?

Last month, I grumbled about the lackluster new musicals this Broadway season. However, there's been a strong group of revivals that have stirred up a lot of critics, not to mention ticket sales. Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber must be rather pleased this year. Two of his shows, Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar, are nominated for Best Revival of a Musical. Perhaps this will finally give him the courage to bring the Phantom sequel to the Great White Way.

The legendary Stephen Sondheim has just as much cause for celebration -- perhaps even more so because I have a feeling his revival of Follies will be taking home the award. However, the most talked about (read: controversial) musical this season has been the reinvented Porgy and Bess. Not everyone was pleased with the way playwright Suzan-Lori Parks adapted the original script (including the aforementioned Sondheim!).
