Thanksgiving Skit for Kids

By November 16, 2011

Follow me on:

In my neck of the woods, holiday carols are jamming the radio waves and Christmas decorations have already infiltrated the mall. It's as though the marketing world celebrated Halloween, skipped Thanksgiving, and leaped directly to December 25th.

But what's the rush? Thanksgiving is a great American holiday, complete with a long standing tradition of adorable school plays and skits. You haven't lived until you have watched your daughter's second grade class perform historical re-enactment of the Pilgrim's first Thanksgiving.

I don't have a script about pilgrims (yet), but I do have an amusing, free-to-use skit called "Terri and the Turkey." a short five minute script about a girl who befriends a turkey on -- you guessed it -- Thanksgiving. If your classroom, church group, or family gathering is looking for an easy-to-produce sketch, then check out this skit, "Terri and the Turkey."
