Thanksgiving Day Skits

Monday November 24, 2008

Turkey Day is almost upon us! Whenever the grown-ups in my family stuff themselves with meat, mashed potatoes, and far-too-much gravy, they sit around the living room and expect to be entertained. That's when the youngsters turn the living room into a theater, and they perform one of the following Thanksgiving Day plays:

"The Ugly Turkey" -- A Thanksgiving Day send up of Hans Christian Andersen's "The Ugly Duckling."

"The Meal Must Go On!" -- A short, funny scene starring the various Thanksgiving foods who, rather surprisingly, are anxious to be eaten.

"Pilgrims and the First Thanksgiving" -- This religious play dramatizes the historical meeting between Squanto and the Pilgrims.

"Turkey Day" -- An amusing clown skit with a positive Christian message.
