The Monologue Blogger

Joseph Arnone is a young and prolific playwright. His specialty seems to be monologues. Since 2006 he has been creating dramatic and comedic one-person scenes for his website, Monologueblogger.com.

His work is often edgy and inventive. There are literally hundreds of monologues to explore, most running between one to three minutes. Here are some specific lists to steer you in the right direction as you look for that perfect audition piece:

Female Comedic Monologues

Dramatic Female Monologues

Male Comedic Monologues

Male Dramatic Monologues

With so much to take in, I have only just begun to read Arnone's work. So far, I think his strength lies in the dramatic male monologues. Check out his character monologue titled, "Freddy Ferrara." You can not only read the monologue but enjoy a well directed digital video performed by the writer.

Keep up the good work, Mr. Arnone!
